Villa Chabrey by GD Architectes

Located on a small hill in the district of Broye-Vully in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, Villa Chabrey is a geometric timber house with a lovely indoor pool.

Wooden sculpture marrying topography orchards, this house reminds the world of the shed and barn. It preserves the rural character and around his plan organized around a distribution space, it continues the typology of the farm’s own habitat.

The frames on the different components of the site – the Jura, the village cemetery, pastures, and Lake further strengthen the symbiosis between this project and its context.
