Villa Bio by Enric Ruiz-Geli / Cloud 9
Situated in Llers one hour outside of Barcelona , the Villa Bio is a sustainable suburban home utterly out of place, but worthy to the natural surroundings.
The residence has sloping coiled snake shape that grew directly out from the land, with underground garage and a 50-foot cantilevered section, and a amazing hydroponic rooftop garden.
Architects: Enric Ruiz-Geli (former Studio Cloud 9)

Inspiration from architect:
Step out onto the hydroponic rooftop garden and the sloping spiral plan takes one more elongated spin, terminating atop the master bedroom. The aromatic garden is one of the home’s prime sustainable features—absorbing excess runoff and protecting the house from the tramontane, a strong wind that blows in the region.
Since 2004, the research and development department of Cloud 9 has initiated and runs an investigation pool where various companies with high expertise exchange knowledge and experience purely on a research level to develop future projects.
