Perched in the corner of an inconspicuous alley in Kashiwara-shi, this two-story building is renovated from a wooden house built in 1976, for an artist as her home and atelier.
Architect Jun Murata has created a functionally and flexible circulation to connect comfortable living space, the space for creation, and exhibition space of artist’s works.
The main theme of the interior is white blank, including walls, ceiling, storage core and the rectangular opening which linked living area with Japanese-style room.
