Forest Pond House by TDO
Nestled on the pond bank of a family garden in rural Hampshire, the Forest Pond House is a curved surface box constructed using plywood, copper, and glass.
This £7,500 building is the first completed project created by London-based architecture and design studio TDO which was formed in 2010 by three alumni of London’s Bartlett School of Architecture and Royal College of Art.

Contrast between the lush forest and the bright calm of the water, as well as mirroring the Pond House environment, the design creates its dual functions.
Inspiration from architect:
The building is both a space for meditation and a children’s den in the woods. Overlaying the two programmes generates the building’s form.
