Alfred Street Residence Renovation by studiofour

Located in Prahran – a suburb 5 km south-east of Melbourne, the Alfred Street Residence is a renovation of an existing single-level Victorian house.

The result is an open and interactive space combined with the kitchen, a central combined living and dining area with a courtyard garden opposite. The entire bookshelf backdrop is absolute highlight.

a restrained material palette of white with pale timber insertions provides a neutral backdrop for the family’s collection of art, books and objects, while enhancing the visual connection between the interior spaces with the courtyard garden adjacent.
