The building form is influenced by a blend of the client’s affection for both their Robert Adam-designed circular living room in Lanark and Melnikov’s House in Moscow fused with the memory of the powerful volumetric white purity of Scotland’s west coast lighthouse buildings.

A stepped ramp and bridge lead directly to the first-floor entrance, the living space is fused by the super circled form of the linking balcony structure which opens up to the estuary view.

The lower ground floor rooms open out onto future lawns which also look out across the estuary.
