The Mill House and Sauna by Wingårdh
Location in the countryside of southern Sweden, the Mill House is a wood construction sauna adjacent with a small pond, as an annex to a vacation house which converted from a large old farm.

Apart from the sauna and attendant spaces for undressing, washing and relaxing, the Mill House is also a small dwelling for guests.
The entire building is rustic yet refined, in combination with the intimate size, it promotes the atmosphere of a Zen master’s tea house on a rural idyll envelops traditional Swedish design.
Inspiration from architect:
This house is a manifestation of the Swedish ritual of sauna and bathing. The traditional rite of sauna involves baking together and dashing out for an invigorating dip in a cold stream.
