Holiday House on Vlieland by Bloem en Lemstra Architecten

Located on Vlieland island in the northern Netherlands, Amsterdam-based architectural practice BNLA has created a small holiday house with a lightweight design, open structure, and viewing advantage for the surrounding landscape.

This 54 sqm cottage is designed as a weekend house, the facade is reasonably close and finished with wooden slats.

On the north side all denser functions are placed, such as the bedroom and the bathroom, remaining, the living room, get a fully retractable facade, which in summer inside and outside completely merge into each other.
