Located in the town of Bilzen, local young architectural practice C.T. Architects has created a compact but aesthetic appartment space for a wheelchair disabled person.

A ground plan where inhabitants can move freely around everything, kitchen closets and cupboards that are easily accesible, an open bathroom. The use of wood panels for floor and cupboards give a warm and uniform feel to the appartment.

Living room table and bed furniture have a specific design.


Inspiration from architect:
Our goal for the refurbishment of this ground floor apartment was to create a wheelchair friendly environment for one occupant. By clustering the wet areas and storage space into two compact volumes we were able to bring natural light into the long and narrow, canyon-like layout.
