Beautiful Steps by Lang/Baumann

Entitled “Beautiful Steps”, these incredible staircases are installation art created by Swiss creative studio Lang/Baumann.

Burgdorf-based artist duo Sabina Lang (°1972 in Berne) and Daniel Baumann (°1967 in San Francisco), have worked together since 1990 under the name Lang/Baumann or L/B.

Beautiful Steps #2 / The slender sculpture plays with an imaginary functionality.

Beautiful Steps #5 / Viewed from the outside, the walkway could be seen to connect the two windows like a fragile band around the castle’s corner tower.

Beautiful Steps #8 / A winding stair, slightly askew, was mounted between the floor and ceiling of the gallery.
