Red Youth Center in Roskilde, Denmark / Cornelius + Vöge
The goal of Youth Center Roskilde is to create a flexible , varied daily life space for children and adults.
The Roskilde-based architect Cornelius + Vöge renovated and extended an existing traditional old fisherman’s cabin, cladding the roof and every wall in red-painted panels of steel and timber.

The main approach is to make a new interpretation of the red barn buildings and fishermen cabins of the old part of the village where the building is located. The extension to the old building starts where the building takes a turn making a more intimate feeling surrounding the outdoor play areas…..
