Rattan ideas / Weaved Seats by Efi Ganor

Created by Tel Aviv based industrial designer Efi Ganor, the Weaved Seats is a project which unites and bonds tradition, shape and technology.

Designer combines his concept of the natural-raw Rattan, practically and culturally, with the chair components: an encounter of shapes, functionality and comfort.

The challenge was in the seat itself: bringing Rattan, which is culturally perceived as old-fashioned, into the living room, with a new personal touch.

The simple saddle form intrigued me, and the concept consist of two seats, one for seating and one for leaning back.
