House in Alcobaça by Aires Mateus
Located in the center of historic alcobaça city, overlooking the river baça, this house is a restoration and redesign project by Portuguese brother architectura practice Aires Mateus.
This house is an all white building whether interior or exterior wall, the quiet extension along with light sculpture.

Inspiration from architect:
the idea of linking two historical times by carving the old facades in a concrete box keeping it’s previous volume to preserve its memory; a gesture inspired by the work of the sculptor gordon matta clark, that draws an east-west line from which the new openings are revealed.
