The tough long concrete wall carved into the terrain of small hills, providing protection from the winter winds while creating patio shade during the summer months.

The entrance is at the west end of the concrete, into the living area and kitchen, this functional zone opens on three sides to an extended view of the rolling landscape.

The two floors are connected by a figured stair enclosure, which filter light from the clerestory volume above, and gather more space at the entry.

The second level is a iron oxide box tightly wrapped by customized ship lap siding, it hovers above the concrete wall and contains the bedrooms, bathrooms, and family room.
