Equestrian Centre and Spa in Mornington

Located on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, the Equestrian Centre was created by London-based Seth Stein Architects in collaboration with Watson Architecture + Design.

The 1,000 sqm complex was designed exclusively for the breeding of warm blood eventing horses, comprising stables, paddock, and menage, constituting the first part of a private country estate.

The stables are framed by a reinforced wall of rammed earth that runs along the southern border of the labeled section of the site in a reverse-J shape, overlooking the Bass Strait.

The crescent plan let stables are invariably arranged around communal external spaces, wrapping a semi-circular lawn that functions as a paddock, at the end of the curving wall, there is a small pool of water offering the horses a place to cool down and have a drink.
