Camping Luca Vuerich by Giovanni Pesamosca Architetto
Standing proudly in an altitude of 2531 meters in the Julian Alps, the Camping Luca Vuerich is an 9 beds shelter designed for mountaineers and hikers, and for remember Luca Vuerich who died in January 2010 at age 34 because an avalanche near Tarvisio.

This 16 sqm cabin is made of wood, and elevated from the rocks over 6 concrete columns. All elements have been manufactured and cut with a CNC machine and transported to the site by helicopter.
Inspiration from architect:
not only remembers the form of a chapel, but is designed to support heavy snow loads that can be stored during the winter. Three façades are completely submerged in the snow, and the access is done in the south side
