Cabin Norderhov by Atelier Oslo
Anchored on a steep slope in Krokskogen forests outside the town of Hønefoss, the Cabin Norderhov is a geometry shaped prefabricated lodge with large glass walls, enjoying the fantastic view of Steinsfjorden.
Architects: Atelier Oslo
Location: Norderhov, Hønefoss, Norway
Photography: Jonas Adolfsen, Lars Petter Pettersen
The interior is a continuous space centred on the fireplace, the curved walls and ceilings define the different functional zones, other furnishings are built into and follow the geometry of the walls.
Inspiration from architect:
The site is very exposed to the wind and the cabin is shaped to create several outdoors spaces that provide shelter from the wind and sun at different times of day.
