Inspiration from designer:

Tone represents color and shade, It is also used to describe the mood and feeling of a situation.
This product is colored using traditional Japanese copper distressing techniques. I designed that the traditional colors will blend in to daily life.
The surface of this tray fade over time, just like denim, because this product is made from pure copper. The user will design the texture on surface by using it daily.
