
The Karolinska Institute / Tengbom Architects
With the assistance of the City Council Solna, the Karolinska Institute purpose to unite together students from different countries and provide them with comfort in the home and in the classroom.
On the campus of the university on the project office Tengbom built building area of 2,000 square meters for hanging students, something like a community center.

Our idea is to create a “Home away from Home,” a second home. An obvious meeting place for students, teachers and researchers. A social arena in which one can meet and get together, a communal meeting place and identification point. This is a place where one can exchange thoughts and ideas, learn from one another – peer learning……
