Gazing the South China Sea with Lamma and Lantau Island, House W is a three-story white residence within a tranquil location in the Hong Kong Island.

This refurbishment project created by Hong Kong based practice Cheungvogl, they stripped down the old layers of the original concrete structure, added timber flooring and oak furniture as the primary palette, converted the interior to the exterior into all white.

Inspiration from architect:

The project evolved, engaging with sequence of past events, nothing in a linear dimension and yet every fragment seemed to happen for reasons as they led to new directions. As we begin to record these life events in fine details, it was obvious that the house would become a container that could enable time to exist in multiple dimensions.
