The cabinet consists of a shelf on long legs which is surrounded by a flexible skin. This is made of a combination of veneer wood and textile which can be opened and closed by folding similarly to an accordion.

Working with the inherent properties of the textile wood, it is very lightweight and behaves like a piece of cloth rather than a piece of wooden furniture.

Inspiration from designer:

Using this wooden textile allows a free and sculptural form. The “Accordion Cabinet” changes it’s appearance and volume depending on being opened or closed.
