Located in the north of Lancashire, an English Heritage farmhouse has been restored and extended with a curved glass and zinc clad garden room.
The 360-degree glass walls provide the perfect spot for the client to bird watch – as well as to enjoy the glorious views of rolling countryside.
Inspiration from architect:
The new structure is designed in a contemporary idiom and is connected to the house and a small outbuilding by a simple glass link building, which creates a new light-filled dining space. It is cut into the hillside and lined with rough slate walls redolent of slate quarries local to the Lake District, so that it becomes part of the landscape.
