An original, cozy and compact house, a tailor-made house for a couple. This was too big, so they demolished a large part of the ground floor. Where the bathroom with storage was once located, there is now an outdoor room with a sheltered terrace, which they call ‘the ruins’. It is really an extension of the kitchen, also because the floor – ordinary bricks – continues into the kitchen and the entrance hall. There is a parquet in the living room.

We bought the house purely for its location. You have a very nice view here, our extensive garden runs into fields and behind it is a forest.Resident
The bathroom has been moved upstairs, allowing you to overlook the landscape from the bathtub through a porthole-like round window. Instead of a curtain, the architect devised a rolling wooden disc that serves as a hatch. The bedroom also had such a window, so that you wake up with a view of the fields.
Although the renovation was tackled very thoroughly, it was still possible to retain a few original elements. In the hall, we can still see the original ceiling in boxed concrete and the stairs also remained. They also deliberately left the weathered ceiling in the living room exposed.
