Situated in the Burgenland peaceful surroundings, the House in Zurndorf is a small house with an origami roof and elephant’s skin, embedding into an orchard which can be experienced from various perspectives.

Based on an extremely low budget, Vienna-based firm PPAG has used an unusual form, the mix of plastic shell and wooden construction, the polyurethane coating form a type of wall and roof construction.

Inside, the high ceiling convey a feeling of diversity and spaciousness, a central services core was created with a solid substructure. Attached to the core on one side is the main kitchen-cum-living space and on the other side, the bedrooms.
