Flanders House by van de voorde – piffet . architecten

Located in rural areas of Flanders, the villa is a cantilevered building made of steel structures and huge glass curtain wall. The facade are coverd by zinc skin, looks like the scales of a fish.

Inspiration from architect:

The southern front porch is a cantilever where the entrance is in the armpit of it. The overhanging portion is kept transparent over the entire width. In a second phase will be here another garage built so that the privacy of the bedrooms on the floor is guaranteed. The northern rear is about two levels of transparency and leave the layout of the house clearly.
