Situated on a low cliff near Porto Petro in the southernmost part of Mallorca, Spain, Can Lis is a house the Danish architect Jørn Utzon built for his wife Lis and himself in 1971.

Consists of four separate blocks linked together by stone walls and open courtyards, the house were built by the area’s yellowish-pink sandstone(known locally as marés stone), blending into the landscape.

The concrete roof is capped with of yellow tiles while the gables are crafted in the Chinese style.

The pure, simple and totally in keeping with the house’s central space, the terrace, kitchen/dining area, sitting room and bedrooms, where space is the decisive factor.

The restoration was carried out between October 2011 and February 2012.
