Located in Douglas County, Nebraska, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Omaha, the Curved House is an amazing residence that designed by artist/architect Randy Brown for his parents.
The house is a presentation of two intersecting arcs, which punch out at both ends like exclamation points, framing vertical window walls.
Inside, the arcs create one large, double-height living area where they cross at the center of the building. [Story via Interior Design]
Inspiration from architect:
I rolled out two clay tubes, one for each parent, then curved and overlapped them, the form derived from the hilltop topography in addition to the two personalities.
