Chalet C7 in Portillo by Nicolas del Rio + Max Nuñez

Located at an altitude of 2990 meters in the middle of the Andes Mountains, Chalet C7 is a steel glass structure refuge installed in a strong stone body, in front of the Portillo Hotel.

Inside is one single space consist of dinning table, living room, kitchen, terrace… this flexible space is fully open towards to the north, overlooking the Inca Lagoon and the spectacular mountain views of Tres Hermanos peaks.

Inspiration from architect:

The terrain is a steep rock slope facing the view of the lake and the Tres Hermanos Mountains. Over this strong and harsh landscape the house had to disappear from its view uphill without interfering the sight towards the lake.
