Casa Spodsbjerg is a 240 sqm two-story private villa on a plot next to the Great Belt.

Rebulit on the site of an old 1920s cottage, this summer house consists of two parallel and staggered building, the living area has an unbroken view to the sea and the small beach below the house.

Inspiration from architect:

The house was designed with inspiration from the existing house , which over many years has sprouted in order to meet new needs and adapt to site-specific qualities.
The first idea was , besides a lot sketching, peppered with trips around Denmark to look at the use of Nordic material in relation to both function and aesthetics.
